Using Custom Domains with Cloudflare Tunnel
Want to use your own professional domain (like bot.yourname.com) instead of a generic IP? Using a Cloudflare Tunnel is the most secure and modern way to bridge your Orihost server to the web.
Step 1: Create a Cloudflare Tunnel
- Log in to your Cloudflare Zero Trust Dashboard.
- Go to Network -> Connectors.
- Click Create a Tunnel and give it a name.
- You will see an installation command like
cloudflared.exe service install ey....
CRITICAL: Copy only the long code starting with ey.... This is your Tunnel Token.
Step 2: Configure Orihost Startup
- Go to your Orihost Server Panel.
- Navigate to the Startup tab.
- Find the field labeled Cloudflared Tunnel Token and paste your token there.
Step 3: Route Your Domain
- Back in Cloudflare, go to Published Applications.
- Click Add a Public Hostname.
- Select your domain and desired subdomain.
- Under Service, set the type to HTTP.
- In the URL field, use
localhost:YOUR_PORT(replaceYOUR_PORTwith the actual port assigned to your server).
